It's only rock and roll

This weekend, a band of Brit Pack bloggers met up in London. We trashed hotel rooms, smashed guitars and then crashed our cars into trees on the way home. OK, so that might be a slight exaggeration...

It's funny how you build up a mental people before you meet them. So this weekend was going to be interesting as a band of Brit Pack bloggers, accompanied by their roadies and groupies, met up in London for art, beer and a bit of a chin wag.

Arriving at Tate Modern in stretched limos and even one by helicopter, were Andy Budd, Drew McLellen, Jon Hicks, Richard Rutter, Patrick Griffiths, Rachel Andrew, John Oxton, Jeremy Keith and (direct from onstage at Knebworth he said,) Simon Collison.

Colly and Jeremy have already posted some pictures. My favourite so far being this of me and Mr. Budd taken on the Millennium Bridge.

Where are mine? Well I discovered on the ride down to London that my PA had forgotten to charge my digital camera. So my manager sent him off to the nearest Boots the chemist to pick up a Children In Need, Pudsey Bear instant camera (6.99 including processing). I'm hoping to get the pictures back in the next couple of days.

That Knebworth gig really took it out of me. 300,000 screaming fans, man. That was a blast! Unfortunately, it affected my beer tolerance, and by midnight I was tucked up in bed with my hot water bottle and some Alka Seltzer. Honestly. I know it's only rock 'n roll, but I don't like it.

As you say, good to put faces to blogs. I certinaly had a jolly good time, managing to get home at 2.45am (that's 3.5 hours to travel 60 miles).
