Link monkey business
Simon Collison opened a can of worms when his personal site launched with the now famous 'ticks' for visited links. Ten time travelling bloggers
June 25, 2004 (4 comments )
Time travel, Mr Budd on a space hopper, Cameron Adams and Eric Meyer's brain, Colly's hummer, Hicks' Healey, Jason Santa Maria saves Jesus and Russ ponders religion... it could only be "Silly questions for ten bloggers (pt1)"...

What's in a name (pt2)
June 20, 2004 (23 comments )
Eric Meyer's comments about my original 'What's in a name' column have prompted me draw some conclusions. My original thinking lacked depth, so I started thinking of an approach which would allow for the greatest flexibilty. (Updated 26/06/2004)

A whole new start
June 17, 2004 (22 comments )
Today I had my first day 'at work' in over seven years, as it was today that Stuff and Nonsense moved officially into our new studios. Sometimes it takes a change to give you new energy and I feel more driven and energized for it.

Something about Fireworks (day 2)
June 15, 2004 (4 comments )
Forgive me if you think that I'm obsessed with colour and with Fireworks at the moment. Here is how I use another time-saving Fireworks tool to create colour swatches from any image which can be saved as CLUTs and shared across a team of designers.

Watching

The Great Escape [1963]
The British stiff upper lip, forgive the fact that there were no Americans in the true story.

Quadrophenia [1979]
We are the mods. We are the mods. We are, we are, we are the mods.

The Italian Job [1969]
The greatest Brit-flick crime caper comedy of all time.

Get Carter [1971]
Low-down and dirty and possibly the best movie of its kind to come out of Britain.

The Long Good Friday [1981]
Gangster saga and explosive thriller. Bob Hoskins gives one of his most engaging screen performances as a top London mobster.
